Reports are circulating round the club that Sherman has been sacked as captain of the first team and the new man at the helm is none other than Angry Davis for the 2010 season.

The decision comes after a Blubbs went through a diffifcult season finishing outside the top four and failing again to qualify for the Atkinson/Swires Cup. Uncle Peter said "we strongly believe this is the right move for the club, Sherman had plenty of opportunitiy to come up to the mark with the players provided for the season but sadly his love of Strongbow came between him and promotion to Division 1. I wish him and his pint all the best for whatever they decide to do next".

Sherman was unavailable for comment but sources close to him said he was shocked and deeply saddened by the news.
