Proposed New Rule Knocks Stonewall for Six

In an unprecedented move to stop negative bowling, one of the proposed new rules submitted by the League Committee is that for Divisions One and Two: 

“All balls bowled down the leg side with a batsmen in his normal stance shall be called wide"

Whilst this is good news for Hebb it could mean that if voted through the Saturday afternoons at Blubbs could stretch well on into the night, better start saving up for flood lights Uncle Peter!!

When asked for his comments on the matter Stonewall said "I am deeply shocked by this suggestion and bowling the equivalent of an extra seven overs a week is not something I personally would look forward to."
