“I knew something funny was going on when I opened the Harrogate Advertiser and saw two of my fellow team mates posing with the Birstwith players” said Dicko, the number five batsman from the dwindling first team squad. “I knew Angry was always a suspect for defection but Sherman and Hebb, I never thought I'd see those two go but at least I might get a bowl on a Saturday now and to be honest I've always fancied a shot at keeping wicket." Looks like "Arnie" Dickinson will need to live up to his one man army reputation next season when he opens the batting, bowling and skippers the squad!
