Blubbs vs Hawks

Thack was close.........but not close enough! This years Trickie Trophy was contested at Otley CC after the Guiseley ground staff pronounced the pitch unfit for play on Wednesday morning.

Thack lost the toss and Hawks decided to bat on the muddy Otley track with the light fading fast, a steady start from the Hawks with Macca and Sherman opening up for Blubbs. A mediocre score from the home team took a last minute boost from Arnie who's pies took a battering in the last over going for more than Uncle Peter could fit in the scoresheet over box, Hawks finishing up on one twenty seven for nine.

Blubbs made a good confident start with Macca retiring on forty and Nicko assisting in a first wicket stand of fifty, Blubbs were still in the game until Thack took to the crease and found it difficult to keep the windmill sails turning, Blubbs ending up on one twenty six and failing to bring home the bacon once again....ah well there's always next year.
