Pateley Bridge Home
After a week of worries Stonewall was ready for the challenge of Pateley Bridge at home on a miserable looking day with showers forecast. With no Splinter or Arnie in the selection pot Stonewall once again turned to the King of Swing for backup and joining him from the seconds, earning his premier first team cap was Conrad "Bradley Branning" Quarmby, complete with headband.
Before the squad had even got changed the rains came down bringing with them more misery for Stonewall who was desperate to get the covers off and get on with the action, ooooerr misus.
Two o'clock came and went but the rain didn't, for a brief moment it looked like play would commence and Stonewall on winning the toss stuck Bridge into bat, much to the disgruntlement of a few of the away team who obviously weren't up for the challenge from Blubbs. Before anyone got off the field the rain started again and it was game over and another game lost to mother nature.

Fact of the day: Pateley Bridge is home to the oldest sweet shop in Britain and sells many wonderful candy delights including flying saucers, wham bars, liquorice sweets, flumps, fruit salads, black jacks, candy shrimps, fizzy cola bottles, parma violets, refreshers and outer spacers, which is where half the team could end up this week on Slimers birthday trip to the races. And there off!!!
