Blubbs played hosts to Glasshouses for week fifteen of the title chase and the wicket looked like it had a new lease of life injected into in, mainly because Harry Potters younger brethren had sorted it out this week rather than "his old man".

Amazingly this week Stonewall won the toss and had no hesitation sticking Glasshouses in to bat on a track which was damp but fast drying out in the heat.

Mad Frankie returned from holiday to open up the bowling attack accompanied by Tichie from the bottom end.

Tichie was back on form this week and Frankie's Bus Station tour seemed to have given him inspiration with the score on seven Blubbs got the breakthrough, Clay taking a stroll down the track to an away swinger from Tichie which missed the outside edge but didn't miss the eager mitts of Hebb who snapped up the ball and whipped off the bails another magical stumping from the King of Keepers!

Ellis and Holmes started to build a partnership and looked set for the day, Stonewall and Sherman replaced Mad Frankie and Tichie and slowed down the run rate, Splinter replaced a weary captain after only four over's and finally tight bowling from Sherman forced an error from Holmes who missed judged one and off peg took a jolt, Glasshouses seventy for two.

Splinter struck thirteen runs later with the score on eighty three when frustration finally got the better of Bickers and he knocked up a simple catch to Wilkie at mid wicket.

In the thirty second over Sherman picked up the prize scalp of Ellis, trying to launch one over the river Ellis only succeeded in finding the hands of Mad Frankie at long on and the Tank went wild.

Next ball and the cider fuelled unit struck again removing Slinger LBW for four and Glasshouses were ninety one for five.

Sherman finished an immaculate twelve over stint for only fourteen runs and was replaced by Mad Frankie who was on the rabbit chase. Thirty one more runs were added before Frankie finally claimed a wicket with another stunning catch off his own bowling seeing off Burton for fifteen.

Six runs later and Frankie was back in the action again when he rattled the stumps and Glasshouses were seven down with only one hundred and thirty on the board.

Splinter then got in on the action removing Matt Clay for none and twenty three runs later Nicholson for twelve, Glasshouses nine down for one fifty four and Blubbs chasing after the bowling point.

Despite accurate bowling from Splinter and Mad Frankie and athletic's in the field from Sherman Glasshouses held out the forty five over's and secured at least one point from the game, Blubbs looking at one sixty for victory.

Stonewall and Mr Angry as usual opened up the batting for the homeside and Stonewall for once looked like he wanted to score runs, quickly passing the fifty partnership and victory looked a formality.

Sixty four on the board and Stonewall played all round a full toss from Clay relieving him of his middle stump and Blubbs were one down.

Slimer joined Mr Angry taking his usual number three spot and both batsmen looked on form pushing the score on to one hundred and thirteen seeing another majestic half century from Angry before a mis-timed drive into the covers saw Slimer dragging his bat back to the hut for fifteen.

Harry Potter was in at four and still looking to build a score for Blubbs, his partnership with Angry wasn't a long one though as Angry fell foul to Sunderland knocking up a straight forward catch to long off and back to the hutch he went.

Arnie joined Potter at five with Blubbs looking for another forty one for victory, the partnership proved too much for Glasshouses and with only thirty one point three over's gone Arnie took the game for Blubbs scything a delivery over the slips for four and securing a well deserved five points for Stonewall's army.

Points Awarded Blubberhouses: 5 Glasshouses: 1

Fielding Points: Graham Hebblethwaite 1 Mick Lowe 1

Fact of the day: There is a good old adage in cricket "Catches win matches" and this week they probably helped, but as Sherman proved to Mad Frankie catches may win matches but not fielding points!
