Blubbs welcomed new signing Stephen "Harry Potter" Wilkinson to the squad this week and Rick "Asda Price" Bourne turned up for the first time this year after returning from a tea tasting convention in Guatamala. Despite torrential downpours around the valley the pitch was declared "fit to play" at one thirty.
Unfortunately for Stonewall that's as far as it went, the heavens opened up at quarter to two and the covers went back on for the rest of the day.
There was a bit more excitement before the game was called off when three toads decided to have a "ménage à trois" on the square next to Hebb who was busy trying to mop the wicket.
Another two points and no cricket played in the rest of the league meant Blubbs remained on top of the table at least until next week.

Fact of the day: When Raj Miah receives a telephone order at his Indian restaurant in the South of England, he does not usually expect the delivery to involve an 18,000-mile round trip. But during the December 06 Ashes, Mr Miah set out for Perth, Australia, with a meal for ten people, following a special request from a regular at his restaurant. When the regular and nine friends were unable to find a curry to match what they are used to, they decided to take drastic action, contacting Mr Miah and begging him to fly them over a meal. Including the food and Mr Miah's air fare, the trip will cost the cricket fans around £1,500! After half a dozen Stellas Sherman usaually walks down to the kebab shop at the bottom of the hill and pay three pounds sixty.
