


Helperby RevengeAs the second half of the season got under way it was Helperby visiting Pierres Park and with a good forecast and a new dry deck Angry was hoping to win the toss and have a bat as the temperature started to rise. Ouseburn OverhaulAs the season reached the halfway point Angry found himself venturing across the countryside to take on table toppers Ouseburn for a tough match which Sherman was hoping would be rained off, and Crash Test Dummy wished Angry had never called him into the squad. Winning the toss Angry decided it might be best for Blubbs to field first and give Bubba time to shake off his whiplash, concussion, shock and sore finger after been thrown around Gazzas Gimp-mobile thirty minutes prior to arriving at the ground.........More
Wet Wicket Spoils Steam Rally TripRain, rain and more rain meant the trip to Masham looked doubtful at nine o'clock on Saturday morning, by twelve Angry got the call from the hosts saying the game was off due to ducks swimming on the sqaure and Sherman looked forward to a day painting the bathroom..........MoreDon't forget, the Blubberhouses AGM is this Thursday (17th November) at The Sun Inn, 8pm. Rain, rain and more rain and this weeks tie against Hampsthwaite was looking doubtful with more rain forecast later in the afternoon and Angry was worried he'd not get a game for four weeks now his trip to Frogland was looming on the horizon.
Another home fixture for Angry and it was Goldsborough who turned up to Peters Park for round sixteen of the season and Angry was hoping to claim at least five points from the days play and keep the pressure on for third place in the table. A warm overcast day which looked good for the swing attack saw Angry win the toss and stick the visitors in to bowl and Sherman was worried already as Angry and Bubba got the innings underway.

Alne were the visitors at Brennanhouses this week and after giving Blubbs a good thumping in the reverse fixture earlier in the season Angry was determined to seek revenge on home soil. Alne won the toss and decided to stick Blubbs into bat hoping for a repeat perfomance from the last encounter as Angry and Bubba made their way out to the middle to commence proceedings.

Blubbs made preparations for a defeat at the hands of Knaresborough in this weeks evening league fixture, torrential rain throughout the day meant no play was possible and the squad would have to wait a week for their next defeat.

Birstwith was the venue for this weeks evening league fixture and with only ten again things weren't looking good for Hoffs dream team who were now in free fall down the table.
Torrential rain on Friday and a heavy shower on Saturday had the game in doubt as Blubbs travelled to Birstwith for this weeks fixture, after some consideration the umpires agreed a two thirty toss and a three o'clock start with thirty five over per side as Sherman and Heardie discussed barge trips around the countryside.

Don't forget, this weekend is the annual Blubberhouses Duck Derby down at the cricket ground. Tickets are £1.00 and as always there will be plenty to see and do, highlight of the day will be listening to Angry's drunken rambling throughout the day, you'd be quackers to miss it!
