There were familiar faces at Hardisty Hill Le-Street for round ten of the season as Blubberhouses entertained Kirkby Malzeard, the sun was shining and it was good toss for Sherman to win who without hesitation elected to bat. After much discussion Sherman announced that Winton was back in the top spot with Angry and the opening pair took to the field to start the Blubberhouses innings, Arnie wasn't happy already. Winton got off to a quick but solid start, Angry held up the non-strikers end and the pair had soon passed the fifty partnership with only eight overs played. It was Angry who departed the crease first, a looping pie from Pickles easily and safely found its way into the hands of cover and Blubbs were seventy four for one. Bubba was the new man in, quickly getting off the mark and doing his best to try catch Winton but Winton was firing on all cylinders for once, passing fifty and looking like there was plenty more in the tank. |

It was a trip to Thorntan Le Moor for the quarter final of the Reserve Knockout, well ot was for most, Mad Frankie decided he was taking on Thornton Watlass alone and after they didn't turn up he decided to go home. Sherman won the toss and much to the dis-gruntlement of his team mates stuck the hosts in to bat. Le Moor finished up on eighty nine all out with Splinter picking up 3-24, Bubba 3-11 and Piewalker 2-10. In reply Blubbs eased past the target with Winton 58no and Angry 21, a cameo innings from Arnie 0no and a trip to Sharow beckons for the semi finals. |

It was a visit to Bishop Thornton this week for Bubbas evening league game or was it? Uncle Peter discovered at the last minute the handbook was wrong and it was a home game, luckily Frankie wasn't in the squad. More rain added to Bubbas frustration and the game was finally called off mid afternoon and Bubba had to hope next weeks game against Durham would have a better forecast. |

After a brief summer, the rain finally reared it's ugly head and after ten overs the weather won the tie against Studley in the cup. Match abandoned and the reply scheduled for next week means Angry's duck gets wiped off the slate. |
